Movies Not To Watch: "The House is Black"
Here is my second installment of "Movies Not To Watch". This time we have "The House is Black", a rather disturbing account of a leper colony that serves as a sort of anti-horror film. Ugliness, sickness, poverty, etc.
I highly suggest not watching this.
Enjoy!

"That Guy" of the Day
Hey look at that guy.
"What guy?"
That guy...the tool with the 5 pound dumbbell in his hand and sweet cutoff"
"Wait...THAT guy?...isn't that John Basedow, the "Fitness Made Simple" guy? I thought he died in the 2004 tsunami?"
Nope...apparently still alive.
MMMMMMongozo
When I was over in Ireland this past Summer I tried this crazy Coconut beer from The Netherlands by way of Africa. It''s not in the US yet but it should be, it's DELICIOUS.
Somebody get on that!
Check out MONGOZO (which means ‘to your health')

Donnie Darko and Guess Who?
I just saw Donnie Darko for the first time this weekend. Overall a pretty strange movie but I would say it's worth seeing. It's sort of one of those angsty teenage movies. Anyway, a hilarious fact (i thought at least), I had no idea Seth Rogan was in it. I believe it's actually his first movie.
Welp that's all I wanted to say.

Uh oh!
It's Wednesday so it's GOT to be the WU
Check out the Classic Wu joint, "Triumph "off their 1997 album "Wu-Tang Forver". Man Inspectah Deck kills his first verse, one of my favorites, especially the first few lines. Everyone else just follows with fire after that. Great track.

Yeah! Great! The other day Thom Yorke, from that band Radiohead debuted a new song at a concert in New York. And guess what? It fucking sounds exactly like all their other songs since...forever. Well, except for the lack of other cool sounds going on. Maybe I'm being a little harsh, and let me clarify, I do like Radiohead, (A LOT too. In fact, they put on one of my favorite concerts to date) but I feel like everyone just shits their pants at everything these guys do. I may have been included in that in the past but currently everything they do anymore sounds the same. Meh, I'll keep my ears open.

Whaaaaaaat? Okay I know I've been lacking on the posts as of late. But this is a lil sum sum special for you.
Imagine Pink Floyd's masterpiece "Dark Side of The Moon" but in Chip Tune, 8-Bit style. I'm talkin' classic NES "beeps" boops" "baps" and "bloops". You know, I'm talkin Mario jumpin on goombas, Little Mac vs Glass Joe punches in the eye, Contra gettin' sweet scatter-shot power ups, Tetris flippin blocks around.....you get the idea.
Well you don't have to image it because this fellow, Brad Smith, actually made it. So just go HERE and download the damn thing!
(thanks Andy over at Ropeadope for this one)
The Tallest Man on Earth
Heard about this guy about a year ago and was pretty blown away by his voice and songwriting. Of course he evokes memories of a young Bob Dylan, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. He's good. And these two videos shot in the Music Inn in Greenwich village (right around the corner from where Bobby D used to live) are pretty awesome.
Give em' a little checkeye and if you don't like his music, but you do like other music, just mute the video and look at all the sweet instruments in the store.
Enjoy.
