Download Slightly Stoodpid's Acoustic Roots

Acoustic Roots: Live and Direct Cover Art

That's right. Slightly Stoopid has put their live album "
Acoustic Roots: Live and Direct" up on bandcamp for a free download. I'm not a fan of everything these guys have done but they have some "good stuff" and this album is certainly included in said"stuff". Real chill....bruh.

I think it's only available TODAY so go get it before it's too late!

BLAKROC Webisode #2

In my opinion, this is the way music is supposed to be created. Musicians getting together, each contributing their own piece. Can't wait for the BLAKROC album to drop November 27th.

BLAKROC Is The Black Keys collaberation with: Mof Def, Raekwon, Q-Tip, ODB, RZA, Jim Jones,Nicole Wray, Ludacris, NOE, Pharoahe Monch, and Billy Danze.

Flaming Lips on the Colbert Report

Watch the Flaming Lips perform a new song off their upcoming album Embryonic . The album will be out on October 13th and if the rest of it sounds like this song, I CAN'T WAIT. Actually, you can stream the whole album right now until Monday on ColbertNation.com. Give it a listen!

Check out a little interview with Wayne as well.

Terrible Album Covers

I'm a big fan of album covers, so I thought I'd share a few of the worst covers I have come across. Enjoy?

Macho Maddness Ohhhhhh Yeeaaaah

Ohhhhhhh Yeeeeaaaaaah it's MACHO MONDAY!!!!!! In honor of the recent release of The Macho Man Randy Savage's DVD "Macho Madness: The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection" I thought I would write a lil some some about the Macho King himself. Despite being an Intercontinental Champion, a two time WWF champion, a King of the Ring winner, and a four time WCW champion, as well as one of the most intense wrestlers of all time, The Macho Man also has a RAP ALBUM under his belt (no pun intended...okay it was intended). Yes, that's right, back in 2003 The Macho Man released a rap album (hilariously) titled "Be A Man" (which is also a Hulk Hogan diss track on the album). Nearly the entire album is dedicated to kicking ass, wrestling, rapping, being a man, and kicking more ass. Everyone needs to hear this album...well at least a song or two , but before you do you must see the Awesome, Macho Madness, that is Randy Savage.

I leave you firstly with a few fine clips of the man and secondly a couple of his songs as well. Enjoy! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAAAAHH

New Flaming Lips Album !!!!!

(from Rolling Stone's Spring/Summer Music Preview)

"After the Flaming Lips' Steven Drozd failed to sell his Oklahoma house last year, the band turned the empty home into a temporary recording studio. "We're capturing more immediate kinds of rock sounds there," says frontman Wayne Coyne. "It's different than the computer-generated beats of the last couple of records." The group is re-teaming with longtime producer Dave Fridmann for its 12th LP — and has already written enough material for a double album, which Coyne describes as "Plastic Ono-era John Lennon mixed with Bitches Brew-era Miles Davis."

I can't wait to hear this. Their last 3 albums have been fantastic (Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots ranks up among the very top of my favorite albums) and most of their older albums are pretty solid as well (although some of their early work is a little rough) Definitely looking forward to this record.
