Dug the first version from Monsters of Folk, so there's no reason why I wouldn't dig the 2.0. Thanks Roots!

Mikey and Stevie

A came across this picture from Rapradar.com that Questlove from The Roots posted on Twitter. This is awesome, young Michael Jackson and the great Stevie Wonder. Two legends! Really, this is a great picture.

I wish i went to The Roots Picnic.....

I'm not going to dwell on this for too long...but I wish I went to The Roots Picnic this past Saturday. I went down to Festival Pier to check things out, some guy tried selling me a ticket for $100 bucks, I "respectfully" declined. I think it's ridiculous people try screwing you over like that, but I guess people who really wanted to go would have paid that much. Anyway, for everybody who did go, I hope you had a damn good time. For all those who didn't go, check out some videos of what we all missed. Some of these videos aren't the best quality but some are pretty decent as well. I still don't think they give the live experience justice though. Oh well, I guess there's always next year.....

Questlove and Dr. Cornel West

I feel like Questlove (Ahmir Thompson, the drummer from The Roots) bears an extremely close resemblance to Dr. Cornel West. Or maybe Dr. Cornel West bears a semblance to Questlove? Anyway, one is a badass drummer, DJ, music aficionado and record producer while the other is a philosopher, author, pastor, civil rights activist, and professor at Princeton University. Both are pretty sick.

I dunno, check em out. (maybe it's just the fro, beard, suit, glasses?)
