8-Bit Side of The Moon

Whaaaaaaat? Okay I know I've been lacking on the posts as of late. But this is a lil sum sum special for you.

Imagine Pink Floyd's masterpiece "Dark Side of The Moon" but in Chip Tune, 8-Bit style. I'm talkin' classic NES "beeps" boops" "baps" and "bloops". You know, I'm talkin Mario jumpin on goombas, Little Mac vs Glass Joe punches in the eye, Contra gettin' sweet scatter-shot power ups, Tetris flippin blocks around.....you get the idea.

Well you don't have to image it because this fellow, Brad Smith, actually made it. So just go HERE and download the damn thing!

(thanks Andy over at Ropeadope for this one)

Kind of Bloop

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the release of Miles Davis's masterpiece Kind of Blue, Andy Baio got together with 5 chiptune artists to produce, "Kind of Bloop An 8-Bit Tribute to Miles Davis' Kind of Blue". This is the entire album, recreated in 8-bit sound (you know like the music from your old NES and Sega games). If you are a fan of the original album, jazz, chiptune, or music in general I highly suggest checking this out; it's really great.

You can pick it up for only 5 bucks right HERE
